The Dark Knight
Batman Begins se învârte în jurul orașului devastat Gotham fiind atacat de bărbați cu joker în stil clovn (Heath Ledger). Joker conduce, de asemenea, un jaf la Banca Orașului Gotham. Conform îndatoririlor sale, Bruce Wayne alias Batman (Christian Bale) încearcă să mute crimele lui Joker. Bruce Wayne este asistat de ofițerii de poliție Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) și Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). Intenția lui Batman nu este lipsită de opoziție, într-o întâlnire între Mafie, Joker a apărut și s-a oferit să-l ucidă pe Batman atâta timp cât jumătate din bunurile mafiei i-au fost predate. Mafia temându-se de Batman aprobă propunerea lui Joker. De la acel incident, sinceritatea lui Joker s-a mutat de la jaf și distrugere, la crimă. Joker amenință că atunci când Batman nu se predă și își deschide masca în public, în fiecare zi va exista o persoană decedată. Publicul este din ce în ce mai agitat și nu mai ia în considerare Batman care îi place să ajute. Pentru binele comun, Batman intenționează să îndeplinească cererea Joker. Dar înainte de a fi terminat, Harvey se prezintă și mărturisește ca Batman.
Harvey este arestat și dus în funcție. Pe drum, mașina pe care Harvey a fost atacată și bătălia s-a dus. În luptă, Joker este capturat, dar Harvey și Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal), iubita lui Harvey, sunt, de asemenea, capturate de Joker. Harvey și Rachel sunt într-o cameră separată care are legătură cu explozibilii. Sarcina lui Batman este de a salva atât de ei și recaptura un Joker fuzzy la un moment ulterior.
